Client Spotlight -Flourish Creative
If you’ve followed along with any of our first podcast episodes, blogs, or kept up with our newsletter, you know that we are starting to highlight churches and ministries we work with through various client spotlights.
This past April, two of the ministries we work with – Flourish Creative and Hope Mommies - joined together for an extremely meaningful collaboration.
Flourish was birthed from the vision of Tyler Daniel. Tyler is the former Pastor of Worship & Arts at Redeemer Round Rock, where I currently serve (full disclosure, I am on the board of Flourish). Flourish exists to see artists, churches, & ministry organizations thrive and bless their communities through the arts. This involves working with worship leaders and church artists to resource the local church with music, providing grants for artists to record music, and yearly “bless projects” that raise awareness or funds for ministry organizations.
A recent bless project Flourish participated in was to release a song (Sparrow Song by Flourish artist Katie Cobbs) to encourage the women participating in the ministry of Hope Mommies. Below is a write-up from Flourish about the song and Hope Mommies.

“From Flourish April 4 Email”
On Sunday, April 2nd, Katie Cobbs released her newest song, Sparrow Song. Written from Psalm 84
and Matthew 6 at our last Flourish songwriting retreat, Sparrow Song is a song of hope that highlights God’s love and care for us as His children.
This release goes miles beyond just being a great new song. We partnered with Katie on this project to “give away” Sparrow Song to an incredibly powerful and meaningful ministry that we love - Hope Mommies.
The mission of Hope Mommies is to bring the hope of Christ to bereaved mothers and families who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. It’s such an impactful ministry and we at Flourish have had the privilege of using music to bless these families since we released our Hope EP for them in 2018. That specific album has since been distributed to over 19,000 families who were going through the loss of a child. Wow.
This year Sparrow Song was a unique way for Flourish to join together with Katie and release a specific song with a specific purpose - to encourage the hearts of those who have faced some of the worst pain that life can bring. The song was released this past weekend during the spring Hope Mommies retreat where Katie led worship, and it has already had a substantial impact on the ladies in attendance and their families - offering the hope, peace, & comfort of Jesus through music.
Our prayer is that Sparrow Song would be heard by the people who need it most and that all of us would believe the truth of this song... “If even the sparrow finds a home, I know I’m not alone.”
